We may need to give the ball to Powell more

    Pro Football Focus ‏@PFF
From last night: Shonn Greene has 79 touches, and in all those touches has forced ONE missed tackle, which was probably an accident

When he doesn't fall down, he's dropped more than he's caught.

Give me more Joe McKnight. At this point, he's our best RB, and should be getting 10-15 touches a game. Tebow should also get 10-15 as an RB.

That I agree with, but that wildcat crap works once every 15 times im over it. Unless tebow lines up in the backfield I wouldnt really give him the ball too much. Unless he drops back to throw it a few times a game. God that ball to hill was perfect!

Scrap the wildcat. I've been saying this since the pre-season. Tebow is a RB on this team, who might occasionally run a HB option and throw the ball.

Right now Mcknight and Tebow are our version of Bradshaw and Jacobs. It's time for our coaching staff to recognize that and implement it.

I would be extremely happy with that

I agree with giving Powell a shot.

I said this in another thread, but in the Houston game there was a play when Sanchez was picked and Powell gave just everything to get and then went straight through a blocker to assist on the tackle on the guy who was probably taking it back to the house otherwise.

You cant buy, train or teach that kind of heart or drive and passion for the team.

Greene isnt getting it done right now, so I say give the lad Powell a chance. Give him (fitness permitting) 5 games starting (with some carries for McKnight, maybe use Greene in some shorty yardage situations) and lets see if he is good enough to cut the mustard.

Except Tebow and McKnight suck at pass protection.

    At least Powell can block.

I'd rather have Cumberland and Hilliard blocking and see McKnight as an outlet or screen receiver. Or you can have Powell as a 3rd down back.

For 1st and 2nd down, Greene has been terrible, and Powell is Powell.

    I'm done with Cumberland Farms.

What's troublesome for me is that the Jet's FO and coaching staff want a ground and pound, yet we don't have the talent to be that type of team.

    Tebow IS NOT a RB.
He will not take the pounding of 25 hits a game.

We need to see if McKnight or Powell can move the rock with 20+ carries.

And they don't seem to have a legitimate game plan to be a pass first team. Sanchez's struggles and weapons aside, good play calling could open up our passing game.

The problem is the team doesn't come into games prepared to pass. They come in prepared to run then change the plan very early, but aren't prepared to do so.
