Cushing says Texans will win Super Bowl without him

    http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fb...3423464&type=1

    From his personal facebook page.

"Trust me when I say that I'll be back better than ever next year; but in the meantime, I want to thank my teammates, coaches, and you fans for all the amazing love and support.

Oh, and WE are STILL winning THIS year's Super Bowl."

This is such a non story....would hate to see this get blown up.

Never understood why anyone would take a quote like this from a player important in it's context.

Do you really not understand that every player in the NFL thinks or will say they will win the Super Bowl?

The guy is just showing much needed confidence in his team after he has to watch from the sidelines now and the entire team/fan base is bummed out one of their best players is out for the year...

For example I am in high school right now...if the football team not expected to talk about winning every game they play? Are the pep rally's not supposed to include how the team will win the championship??

Is he supposed to tell his teammates that they have no shot without him? They are still one of if not the best team in the AFC and NFL. We'll have to see in the upcoming weeks how much the Cushing injury will actually affect their play

He's just supporting his teammates. I hope there were no undertones of a Rex Ryan double standard from the op
You're talking to me all wrong... It's the wrong tone. You do it again and I'll stab you in the face with a soldering iron. Hey, tell me, does your mother sew? BOOM. Get her to sew that!

Such a pointless media thing for those guys to quote him on this and make it a big deal.

Who cares? The team is still legit. No reason for him to believe they won't win it.

    They certainly have the ability.

Being a Pats fan I don't think they will
    but they could
Five rounds went by in the 2000 draft... After 198 other players had been chosen, the Patriots drafted him in the sixth round.
Owner Robert Kraft recalls the night he was leaving the old Foxboro Stadium when he saw "this skinny beanpole" carrying a pizza. "He comes up and says, 'Mr. Kraft, I'm Tom Brady.' I said, 'I know who you are, you're our sixth-round draft choice from Michigan.' "And he looked me right in the eye and he said, 'and I'm the best decision this organization has ever made.' "

He is a G, I wish him a speedy recovery!!
Texans look legit, I can see why he is that confident.

It's not like an Oakland player guaranteeing a SB this year. Now that would be a story!!
