The point was to show that even great QBs (which is why I used Brady) have poor games. Having a couple of poor games doesn't lead to "the tale of two Alex's" or else you could do that with every good and great QB. Alex Smith is playing like a top 10 QB so far this year. He is currently the 8th in QB Rating despite playing on a run-heavy offense. Quit with the blind hatred, it gets old.

Throwing 50 TD's in a season along with 3 Super Bowls/5 appearances pretty much defeats the other 30 starting QB's in the NFL as well, not just Smith...Brees, Rodgers, Ryan, Stafford, Flacco, Eli, etc. Your point is invalid.

The point is that some of the game's best QB's have bad games. Smith's game vs NYG was his first bad game in 2 years. Two-three bad games in the last 22 games or so (including the playoffs) are a lot better than most other NFL QB's.
