    Can JJ Watt Win MVP?

Can he? He is a beast and being honest he looks like the best NFL player this season. He has had an impact every game and leads the lead in sacks. His presence is huge for the Texans and that D. Could he be the MVP of the league?

at the moment his competition so far is

Alex Smith: 1,087 yards 8 tds 1 int 108.7 rating (leads NFL)

    Eli Maning 1,579 yards (2nd) 10 tds 5 ints 96.0 rating

    Matt Ryan 1,507 yards 13 tds (2nd) 3 ints 106.1 rating

    Joe Flacco 1,456 yards 7tds 4 ints 89.9 rating

    Tom Brady 1,450 yards 8tds 1 int 102.8 rating

Arian Foster 532 yards rushing 5tds

could he win MVP? Should JJ Watt be in the discussion?

They won't get by Miami and they'll be lucky if they can beat Boston. So since you're so high on Rose, I don't see him doing any damage at all come playoff time.

    not in this lifetime....

not to kill your buzz, its almost always an offensive player, who is the QB. The last defensive player to win the MVP was Lawrence Taylor back in 86.

    Can JJ Watt Win MVP?

    No because voters like QBs.

I can't see it happening. Being that it's such a quarterback driven league I don't see anyone but a quarterback winning MVP for a long time.

Defensive player of the year is totally a possibility though

a beast no doubt but he would have to do something never done, maybe if he smashes single season sack and batted balls, TFL's etc.

Matt Ryan in the lead as of now IMO

Does anybody really think Flacco deserves any consideration for MVP?

I think he might be the MVP in the literal sense, but he isnt a QB so that hurts his chances.

I actually think he could win the MVP if his production stayed consistent throughout the rest of the season. I think he would end up with around 27 sacks or something with who knows how many fricken sWATTed passes.. But he isn't going to have that same consistent production. We've seen players jump out to unreal starts like this before and they usually come back down to earth which is what I expect to happen.

Hard for a defensive player to win it, let alone a 34 defensive end...but Watt has been tremendous, hands down the DPOY if he keeps it up.
