Why would you give him a "D" playing the majority of the year with a bad wrist.

He was terrible down the stretch and by down the stretch I mean like post all star break.

Part of being a captain is if you aren't 100% don't play hurt if you can't perform. Dan Johnson was hot and should have had more PT down the stretch. So for that I'm giving him a C

With PK trying to play through the injury is that a fault of the manager for not stepping in and saying "hey you are hurt, get yourself better and come back strong. We have guys who are more than capable of picking up the slack why you are gone".

A for me. Just the fact he hit that grand slam in the 2005 World Series makes me never have to give him a bad grade here.

    Thanks MJ-Bulls for the picture.

I gave him a B............no A because of the bad tail off at the end of the season. the overall numbers just are too good for a C.

I honestly don't know if the injury affected him, hes had that in his wrist a few years now. Was a typical Konerko season, 1 awesome half, 1 horrendous half.

I went with C. I know he was playing banged up, but he still played and was nonexistent down the stretch.

I went with a B. He was insane the first half, A+, but he was a D- player in the second half and almost worthless the last month and half of the season. Factoring in that he was playing hurt (whether he should/shouldn't be playing is still Ventura's decision), it's still a solid season - though 75 RBIs is not much to write home about for your cleanup hitter.

B, had he not tailed off so bad it could have been an A.
