I don't care what anyone says. I predict Pence will do well next year

So many people hate Hunter Pence for whatever reason. I aint a follower. The fact is he is much better than Rowan was with the team, even though he didn't have the average. Rowand could have never had all those rbi's on the team. The fact that Pence averaged so low and still had all those RBI's while Posey also had 100 RBI's, makes it even more evident that Pence sure knocked them in.

But I'm talking about next year. Hunter Pence is gonna raise some eye brows. He is 29 years old, right in his prime. But he hasn't had an aberration type year yet. Every year has been sort of the same. I can tell that Hunter is capable of having a year like .280 40 HR 100 RBI

Why is that? Because he has the body for it and he has the strength for it. Hunter Pence is my favorite player to watch. He has the most raw talent. He reminds me of a 1920's throwback player who has a funny looking swing but relies on his natural raw strength to hit the ball.

It's no secret that when Pence hits it, the chicks go wild and the bat makes a very loud sound. The guy is in shape, compare him to panda. Compare him to fat Rowand or even Huff. The guy is dedicated to baseball. He resembles a 1920's throwback player with long limbs. He can still improve. He can become a little more patient at the plate.

So I'm calling it right now. 40 homers next year, but at least 30. If you guys don't think he is strong enough to hit that amount, you are nuts. He possesses one of the strongest bats in the game. If you don't believe me, then there is a reason why he is rated so high. He has the potential. It will all unfold next year at age 30. Many MLB players had their best years in their early 30's and I am telling you this guy is a stud.

Pence has the charisma, the determination, the ability, and the love. Just his name Hunter Pence stands out. The way he warms up stands out. The way he swings his bat like a hockey stick on deck stands out. His awkward interviews stand out. His high socks stand out.

Pence is gonna be a Willy Mccovey type player. He has the athletic ability. He has the fitness, the strength, the power.

Pence aint no small guy. He looks thin at times because he is jacked. Go GOOGLE Shirtless Hunter Pence. The guy has MUSCLE. You guys will see.

You've got to be kidding me.
He's never hit more than 25 HRs playing in Enron Park and Phillies, but you think he'll hit 40 in ATT Park?

RBI is a useless number. It's a direct result of Scutaro's .385 OBP with the Giants, and Posey's .456 OBP and 1.102 OPS post All-star break. Batting .219 with lots of RBIs means a lot of groundout RBIs.

I mean, the chances are good that he'll get back to his normal production of .275 BA and ~20 HRs, but don't expect MVP numbers from him.

    I guess I'm nuts then.

So for some of the reasons you think he's a great player is because he's got muscles, the way he interviews, his name, his determination, his on deck swing, his charisma, he's fit/in shape, and his socks. Now I know these aren't all of them, but in no way are these legitimate reasons why he'll hit 40 HR's. That's ridiculous.

I hope he does well. I'm sure he'll put up better numbers than he has the past two months, but in no way is he going to put up 40 HR's.

    This thread is ridiculous.

P.S. Rowand wasn't fat. He was pretty ripped.

You guys are crazy. You act like Pence doesn't have any power. If you look at history throughout the league there are a good amount of players who hit about 25 homers a year and then all of a sudden hit 35-45 home runs all of a sudden. Jeff Kent didn't have his first 30 hr season until he was 30. He had 11, 11,21,14,20,12 and then 29. Look at Rich Aurillia, he just popped out and had 37 one year at ATT. You're telling me Pence can't hold Aurillia's jock strap in the long ball department? Pence has a reputation for having power and Aurillia never really did. Snow had 28 homers one year. Everyone always has one particular year that stands out. Pence has all the strength in the world to hit a lot of home runs. People love when Pence makes that 'hunter pence' sound. Go on youtube, and see what I mean. So yes, Pence is capable of hitting 40 dongs because he is known as a power hitter. I'm not saying brandon crawford is going to hit 40. I'm not saying pagan is gonna do it. I'm not saying scutarro is gonna do it. Pence does have a shot. Plus what if he's not on roids and takes em? He can easily do that.

PS: i don't think rowan was ripped because he looked a little chubby, at least not jacked like pence.

No one's saying Pence doesn't have power. Stop assuming that. He's just not a Stanton, Cabrera, Hamilton, Braun, Dunn type power hitter. He will not hit 40. Like I said in my post, I'm sure he'll do better, but he won't put up those power numbers.

I want to see this face, http://imgur.com/XT1Ui, as much as anyone next year, but we won't be seeing it 40 times. Also, people are upset with Pence because we brought him in to be a all-star caliber player and he has been anything but an all star caliber player. I still believe in Pence and believe next year he will be better, but damn, he really blew it this year.

Hunter Pence has been Juan Uribe2.0 this year, and I dont mean the "good" Juan Uribe.

It sucks too because I like Pence and defended him. I was juiced he came, but between him and Panda swinging at everything and doing no damage, its amazing Buster sees a single strike at all.

I like Pence and I think he will have a solid year next season. They didn't bring in Pence to be their best player. Shierholtz isn't exactly a top prospect although I did like Joeseph. Shierholtz has 26 HRs for his career. Pence has 24 this season. Okay, they all weren't with the Giants, but if you think Pence can't offer more than what Nate was, then you can make an argument, but I think Pence is a great answer at RF and a better option than they had all season. Posey is this team's best offensive player and maybe even Panda (when healthy) is the second. Thats why they're batting 3rd and 4th with Pence at #5. Although I don't think he'll sniff 40 HRs next season, I can see 25-30 HRs and RBI numbers similar to this year (104) while batting .280.

But RBI aren't a good measure to see if a player is good or not. I'm sure he'll have a better year next year though.

Somebody shoot me. This guy is a troll and probably not even a Giants fan....or he's the 6-year old nephew of Hunter Pence.
