New study says mia is 2nd best in drafting over past 5 years.

I'm not going to post any highlights of the article.

Please do not comment on the topic unless you read and understand the stats.

I refuse to agree with this study on the sole fact they hold drafted starters in high regard.

We all know there are alot of players on this team that would not start for playoff teams. To me thats a major flaw.

And really look at that top 5. They went a combined 23-57. Enough said about this "study".

I pretty much agree, it pretty much shows that Ireland is good at findng starters for OUR team, and that he does draft by position no matter what he says, which imomis why last yea draft was the best we had in years.

That was the first draft IMO that we really drafted for talent that would helpmus over then long haul, instead of just be "starters".

To bad that doesn't take into account team record or success, otherwise we would be near dead last.

All this really tells me is miami holds onto their mediocre talent, for a long time.

Must be a study from monkeys, this team has been such trash for drafting until the last 2 years or so.

Other than Jake Long, Jeff Ireland has also drafted ZERO players who where selected to either the All-Pro team or the Pro Bowl.

I think the stats are cool for conversation/debate sakes, but the idea that it shows a team to be good at drafting makes no sense.

It really does make zero sense because they don't account for success. Just because you start and you consistently start doesn't mean you are a positive for the team.

Look how long we stuck with Chad Henne or the Jets with Mark Sanchez. According to them just because they started every game for a few years means it was a success.
