I got 31 out of 50. Unfortunately, my science background is fairly weak. A lot of what I do know I've learned in recent years after taking an active interest as a layperson. But my fundamentals aren't very good. Got me some more learnin' to do.

This takes a bit of time, btw. Probably around 20 minutes is what it took me.

Holy **** is that pathetic. About 4 I missed from second guessing. I also missed all of the astronomy ones. Sigh. At least I got all of the Biology and Chemistry.

That quiz is not easy by any means. Before posting this thread I searched for a few different tests, and I was 90th percentile in all of them. Based on that, I'd say that 30+ in this one is probably 90th percentile in terms of average scientific knowledge. There were a lot of really hard questions on this one (eg. which Greek alphabet letter is used for which mathematical concept). I'll stand by my original assertion that I've got a lot of homework to do. But I do think this quiz is tough.

A large majority of the answers should be known if you've taken the basic sciences (chem, bio, physics), the calculus sequence, and differential equations (for one or two questions, anyway). I've taken all but biology, so I'd hope I'd score well.

But yeah, that quiz would be brutal to somebody who's not studying to enter a science field.

There were a couple I used context clues more than actual knowledge on, and a couple I knew though not because I learned them in a science class. I made the astronomy ones my *****, though.

Had no clue about the cloud one, and some trouble with the geometry... but I hate geometry, so that's no surprise.

I'm a senior in college getting a degree in science (Biology) though.

Yeah, I thought that too. This is just fact recitation. It'd be like saying you're good in chemistry if you can name all the elements in the periodic table.
