to me, he is gordon beckham

dont know how you can say that is mindboggling after he his .225 with a .294OB and hes going to be 25 on OD.
    I'm thinking Alex Gordon.

I'm telling you dude, there's one adjustment to be made and he'll be raking again. The big leagues exposed a hole and he hasn't adjusted yet (just like every other Mariner hitter). The Mariners couldn't help a hitter make an adjustment if the fate of the world depended on it. Hopefully Dave Hansen can do something about it, but really they should have hired The Condor's hitting coach. He's the only guy on the planet that has proven he can fix a Mariner's swing.

Let's not forget that Ackley was the 8th most valuable defensive second baseman in baseball this year in only his second season at the position. This dude is still a freak athlete. The upside is still large and with that defense the floor is still pretty high. The strikeouts have to go.

There were lots of scouts at Pax's game. I don't know if anyone has posted this, because I'm on page 11 out of 14.

I'd take somewhere between Gordon and Beckam really.
You have no idea how excited I am right now.

Pretty much contradicts ur last post.

Moose has much better power than ack.

And for the record I'm not giving up on ackley. I project him out as g beckham (better value since hes cheaper) I'll gladly eat crow if he becomes much more.

I said he's got ability to be above average.

If an above average regular in the majors isn't a bright future, I don't know what is.

I think Alex Gordon is a good comparison of Ackley's every day potential. Gordon of 2012 not 2011

I was uncertain bc u also said don't expect him to be amazing or be let down. I guess we all have different perceptions of titles. I'd be stoked if he turned into Alex Gordon (who I qualify as an amazing player).

Yeah. Amazing to me is a HoF player over a career.

Amazing in one season to me is 6+ WAR.

I have a strange feeling that Pax will be better than Walker and Hultzen.

    No.

But, I do like Paxton more than Hutlzen.

I think he's got a higher ceiling but I think Hultzen has a higher floor.

If I'm in a pitching rich system, I go with the upside over the higher floor. But, these jobs could be in jeopardy soon if they don't start winning. Which is pretty unfortunate.
