I also would like the team to get more right handed, switch hitting dominant again like in years past because although this team still put up solid offensive numbers, if a power lefty pitched against us, we would virtually be shut down as a team.

Change those, bang those, same old, same old
I'd wonder if they have looked into something for Headley
Well, I think between Laroche and Napoli, the gap isn't all that huge. Napoli at 1B wouldn't be great with his 2012 numbers, but his bat might come around without having to be stressed 100+ games behind homeplate.
But still way too early to count anyone in without knowing contract details. For 1 year? Absolutely...more than 1 year depends on the $ involved.
I know one thing for sure, this is gonna be a busy and exciting off-season for us, that's for sure. We are linked to almost everyone.
^ ya we are linked to everyone, but everyone doesn't seem to be that exciting this year.

Just to fill in the facts:
Napoli has never caught 100 games in his career in one season. The most starts he had was 84 in 2009.
The last 3 years:
57
67
69
The absolute most he'd be asked to catch is 65 games (2/5 of the season). The problem is he is aging, and we don't have a good back-up at 1B, so he he won't catch much here - if at all.

I mean if you sign Napoli and trade salty, sign defense C
Go 85 games for Lavarnway, 45 for Napoli, 32 for defense catcher
Jackie Bradley Junior.... that is all
Would anyone here flip middlebrooks for upton
yes, but they would want more, how much more would really be what makes/breaks it
If It would WMB, Iglesias, Kalish, and Bard?
I would do it. Especially since WMB production really depends on his contact rates. Anything more than that no
Jackie Bradley Junior.... that is all
Please don't kill me for asking
The K's are rough ill give you that. But he was a 7th 8th hitter for the Angels for the most part of last year anyways.
He has a career .323 average against the Yankees and a .396 average against LAA.
Against the Sox? .288 career average. Career at Fenway: .306
So his average against the sox away from Fenway is .270 only .010 above his total career average. Fenway is the reason for his numbers not the Sox staff.
Me personally? Im intrigued with the type of player and person Will Middlebrooks is. I enjoy his style of play and I have high hopes for him. I would want to see a larger piece of his capabilities before deciding anything. Even if his value is high now I still would not want to part with him.
You do realize batting average means absolutely nothing right?
