Makes sense. Upton will start getting expensive and had a down year. I'd like to see what we have in Middlebrooks before dealing him off being that he's under club control for like 5 more years.
yeah i wouldnt give up WMB or The X-Factor Xander Bogaerts
Proud to be PSD's Chris Kelly!The Chris Kelly Watch: 3 G /0 A/ 3 Pts / 2 +/-

Give them iglegias lol
It's not a good market to be looking for a 3B, especially in the FA market. Trading away WMB should only be done with utmost caution and should probably be avoided al together.
Love Justin Upton, personally, and would love him on the team, but we don't match up well with Arizona right now.
WMB is going to disappoint a lot of you next year, I fear.
Things I would love:
Trade Ellsbury for Andrus and a spec
Re Sign Cody Ross
Sign Mike Napoli (1/7.5)
Sign Torii Hunter
Prediction: Bradley has UNBELIEVABLE spring and wins starting CF job
De La Rosa
Reviewing the last few pages:
1. Upton - ridiculous asking price - no thanks
2. WMB has proven nothing outside of the fact he has power. He hasn't proven he can take a walk or command the strike zone. Hasn't proven he can stay healthy for a season. His doesn't have a plus glove. If some team overvalues him - then deal him. If not, then move forward with him and see what happens. But as a throw in for Upton? Nuts.
What do you think 2 yrs 20M for Hunter?
Joel Sherman of the New York Post reports that the Yankees will only offer Torii Hunter a one-year deal.
The Yankees are desperately trying to get their payroll under the luxury tax threshold ($189 million) in time for the start of the 2014 season, which is probably going to make for a quiet winter in The Bronx. Hunter is reportedly seeking a two-year, $20 million contract, and the veteran outfielder apparently has enough interest to find something close to that asking price
