    I really don't think so. First off Pete would know which Corner Outfielder he was talking about he wouldn't have asked is it CR? JH? Etc. Larry sais another outfielder meaning two. That is how I heard it like 12 times

    He's not supposed to say they signed Gomes because it's not official. He hasn't taken his physical yet, and they have to clear a roster spot. Do you honestly think Lucchino of all people is going to announce something new without the media already reporting it?

    Denard Span got traded straight up for Alex Meyer. Meyer is a good pitching prospect, could be great if he does well next year in AA. But straight up? That hurts Ellsbury's trade value.

    Cross another suitor off of the OF-list. Braves and Nationals gone. I think it's pretty much inevitable that we'll end up with at least one of Hamilton, Bourn, Victorino, Swisher and Pagan.

    Span is a decent player...and Meyer is a good prospect, but I'd want more for Jacoby. Now I really think he's staying and we'll make another push for the playoffs with him, Swisher, Napoli, BP-help (Adams/Wilson) and a SP.

    Worth noting: Cody Ross and Adam LaRoche have same agent. #RedSox still believed to prefer Napoli at 1B, although LaRoche may fit as LH bat

    @JimBowdenESPNxm

    According to source the Nationals "absolutely" are still "in" on LaRoche but his demands have to come down if they're going to get a deal

    I rather have Adam, He has put up great numbers for every team hes been with

    Let the Nats sign LaRoche, then we can trade for Morse

    No. He would cost our 2nd round draft pick and 3 years, I'd rather have Napoli.

    I'm pretty sure we are using Laroche as leverage in the Napoli negotiations.

    I know he would but he prefers to catch than be at 1B

    nickcafardo Adam LaRoche told me over the summer how much he loved hitting at Fenway. Even though he pulls feels he could go the other way.

    Between the two, I'll take Napoli. No draft pick compensation, positional flexibility plus his swing and Fenway are a match made in heaven.

    LaRoche just turned 33 and is coming off one of the best seasons of his career, no way would I sign him.
