    Warriors open practice

I heard briefly on the radio yesterday... that the warriors are holding an open practice on Saturday the 13th. I've been looking around online trying to find more info about it.

I cant find too much about it. There is an open try out for the D league team that day and I am hoping I didnt hear that wrong to begin with. It's odd that they would have the open practice on a weekend- but the last few years I went... every kid under the age of 15 in oakland would ditch school and go to it... so whats the difference?

I was just wondering if anybody had any news on it?

The Warriors announced that they will hold their annual open practice at Oracle Arena on Saturday, Oct. 13, starting at 11 a.m.
Parking and admission to the event is free for all the fans, with the doors opening up at 10 a.m. According to the Warriors, limited concessions will be available.

Fans will get to see coach Mark Jackson put his team through drills and then the team will participate in a scrimmage. In years past, the Warriors' head coach has been mic’d up, allowing their instructions to be heard by everyone in attendance.

I love going to the Warriors open practice. I went to one in 08-09 and one last year. They are so chill and relaxing. Can't wait to go this year as well. Go Warriors.

did anybody else go to open practice today? We showed up a lil bit late so I didnt get as good seats as usual, but it was cool.

Mark jackson PROMISED we wouldnt be dissapointed with the team this season. That seems a bit unclear... but I think its reasonable to expect the new owners to make the playoffs atleast 1/3 of the time isnt it? Arent the best fans in the NBA worth that atleast? He kinda dodged addressing last years promise... which I thought showed the loser he really is (probably why he never won a ring)

    Anyways- on to the players.

Curry is looking better and better. He was running the floor well, handles looked sharp. He should be in perfect game condition before opening night.

Thompson was so/so. he didnt really stand out to me, he made a few deep jumpers.

Barnes is going to start. I think him and rush are pretty even, but rush is a good bench player as well. If Klay Thompson is struggling, I think we might see rush come in for him.

David Lee- Good passing, had a couple nice jump shots

Festus- Hes a big cat, Andris beidrins really has no value on this team now. Buy out time. (BTW- Beidrins didnt participate). Showed better rebounding than ive seen in summer league and pre season so far.

Landry- didnt stand out to me

Jack- played better than the first two pre season games

Jeremy Tyler- best ive seen him play ever... LOL I know the guys were not going full speed. Tyler is a power forward, not a center though.

Rush- made some shots that didnt look like great shots... but they hit the bottom of the net so who knows.

Jenkins- hes going to the d league

draymond green- I was hoping to watch him play, but I think the opening roster is going to have jenkins, green and bazemore inactive. Beidrins will be active ONLY because bogut is a question mark.

It was lame that the first quarter was 10 minutes, then 2nd and 3rd were 7... and mark jackson cancelled the 4th. We bounced after the 3rd to avoid the parking lot log jam.

You ever think the Jackson might not look to make a fool of himself for promising the playoffs again after he made that statement last year prior to discovering that his best player would be traded for a center that wouldn't play a game for the rest of the year?
