I personally would have put Bailey in to pitch but Latos did good.
well latos can now go game 5, and he has great spilts vs the giants. I'm really glad you guys won today, worst case scenario the series heads back to Cinnci wbeing a best of 3 all in your house. and you will get timmy or vogelsong or zito, none of which have pitched that well.

That game was awesome last night great to get our 1st playoff win out of the way right away. I expect the Giants will come back strong tonight but with the way we can pitch if Arroyo can give us 6 strong innings we have a real chance at getting both in San Francisco can't wait for game 2.

Homer Bailey listed as the starting pitcher for game 3. Sure hope Cueto can come back and pitch in the playoffs, if not in the NLDS perhaps in the NLCS. That assumes they can get past the Giants without him (which won't be easy).

    Bronson Arroyo

    (career stats against the Giants)
    12 games, 3-5 W/L, 3.13 ERA

(career stats pitching at AT&T Park)
    6 games, 0-4 W/L, 4.11 ERA

    Madison Bumgarner

    (career stats against the Reds)
    4 games, 1-2 W/L, 5.16 ERA

(career stats pitching at AT&T Park)
    41 games, 19-12 W/L, 3.08 ERA

So which stat do you put more confidence in. How a pitcher performs against a particular team or how they perform at a particular venue?

Ryan Vogelsong will pitch game 3 for the Giants instead of Tim Lincecum.

Bailey listed as Game 3 starter
The Reds are listing Homer Bailey as the starter for Game 3. They have TBA listed for Game 4 and 5.

Johnny Cueto’s condition will obviously come into play. Cueto was pretty confident last night that he could pitch again in the series.

I’m hearing that Bailey and Cueto may already be headed back to Cincinnati. I’ll know more after we meet with Dusty Baker at 3:20.

One stat: Teams who have gone up 2-0 in the NLDS or ALDS have won 38 of 42 times.

I'm starting to wonder about Cueto. he said he felt fine today. I guess it's probably for precautionary reasons. I would rather have Bailey pitch tonight though, and let Arroyo pitch in GABP

they can both kinda be misleading because players on teams can change. ONe thing going for Bumgarner and the Giants is the fact he threw a 1 hitter earlier this season against the Reds.

Heads up. Due to the rain delay in Baltimore the Reds/Giants game will be aired on TNT instead of TBS.

Arroyo has his nasty stuff tonight. All of his pitches are moving all over the place.
