Agreed. I like his two-way potential.

You like him more as a hitter or pitcher?

It's hard not to like him as a pitcher, but considering we need outfield help i would be just as happy to draft him as a position player.

we better not draft a pitcher first pick...And we have taken HS players back to back the past 2 years....I would like to see us take a college level bat who can maybe see the majors in 2015.

not sure if this is spam or not

Right now, the Mets need to draft the best player available. Every team should always do that, but the Mets NEED to for the next few years. The FA market is getting ridiculous and prospects are going to jump in value.

Mets Picking 11th in the 2013 Draft

Yeah, you do not draft to fill the need of the MLB team. If the best available player is a pitcher, then draft him.

You can never have too much pitching. Teams are looking for pitching and are willing to trade for it if they don't have it.

The Mets are probably a top 5 farm system with just their pitching, at least from my perspective. Their position prospect are either 3-4 years away or have serious holes in their games. Aside from d'Arnaud.

Mets Picking 11th in the 2013 Draft

I think Justin Williams will be there at eleven, so I think the Mets might pick him up.

What a senseless decision that was.

I haven't got high hopes given the mess they made of it last year.

Cecchini has higher potential than Tejada.
