Briggs is still playing at a high intensity for sure. Urlacher, obviously yeah he's lost a step or two. Hell, I don't think Tillman has actually declined at all. Not to mention Peppers, better than anyone on the 06 line, and hes still not playing 100% healthy. Yes, the D-line is deeper for sure now, I honestly think Melton, Wooten, McClellin, and Paea all have some crazy potential that could make them All-Pro D line men.

I agree about Tillman, I think hes gotten better.

I think you have to take the 2006 Defense for now. Simply put, that defense had a generational player at his peak. Urlacher in his prime is the difference. I think the DL is a wash. This DL has a little more depth, but people forget that the 2006 DL had arguably the most dominant DL in the game in Tommie Harris, along with Ogunleye, Brown, Tank, and Anderson. I think the secondaries are a wash as well, although it would've gone easily to 2006 if Mike Brown played more.
