Bonilla was my favorite prospect in our system. Not that I expect him to be a star or anything, I just really like change-up centric pitchers.

Source believes Phillies still primed to do something "big." Anything from pursuing Hamilton to a late Greinke run to trade for outfielder.
The next question is how much payroll due we now have including the benefits that count against the luxury tax cap and what is the best way to spend it.?
I would like to see them get closer to the 2014 189 million total given the fact you can always dump payroll at trade deadline like last year with Victorino and Pence if things dont do well.
While i would love to see them add Hamilton and Adams, i just think that is unlikely.
I think the best we see is Swisher, adams and a SP ( marcum, jackson etc) and i still think its going to be Ross.
Wish the Lopez trade had worked. We would have had our 8th inning reliever for less than 2 million. Any other similar RP available?
maybe Chris Perez from the Indians? just a thought.
payroll is around 150 right now.
Plenty of space to sign a SP, setup guy, and another OF to replace 3 league minimum guys (490k each), and still leaves room at deadline.
I thought of him because i know the Cleveland front office hates the guy for calling out the fans but then i saw his projected arbitration dollar was 7 million due to being a closer.

i just filled in the RP with guys, since they are interchangeable at this point until spring training.
Great! thanks!
certainly leaves us with the ability to be active.
Phillies still have 30 million left before they go over the lux tax this season. Hamilton and Adams would b the awesome

I think Adams is needed but i look forward to see what the bullpen can do...every bad break went against them last year...it was crazy! I am still nervous because they tend to hand out free bases too much but hopefully that improves

Harry, I grew up with the phillies and learned the game by your voice. You will always be missed but never forgotten. Though you are no longer with us, you'll never be "outta here" in our hearts!
Michael Young and Cliff Lee played with Hamilton in Texas... let's make a couple phone calls and get him in the lineup lol.

What does Cody Ashe line project to be in the majors?
Bring on our 3rd WS ring, our first Super Bowl win, 4th NBA Championship, and 3rd Stanley Cup
if we did sign Hamilton how would the lineup look? its most likely Rollins and Revere at 1 and 2 but than theres a clusty **** of lefties.
i guess it would be
vs RHP
Rollins S
Revere L
Utley L
Howard L
Hamilton L
Young R
Brown L
Chooch R
vs LHP
Rollins S
Utley L
Ruf R
Howard L
Hamilton L
Chooch R
Young R
Revere L
realistically Swisher would probably make our lineup easier to transition based on his switch hitting ability.
