Offseason Thread

i know this is random but i'm still upset amaro didnt jump all over yoenis cespedes last offseason. RH outfield bat, and at the time by far our easiest and maybe only way to get younger and better (turned 27 in October). i believe he got 4yr/36m from oakland.

2012 in only 487 at bats due to a stint on the DL some numbers he put up:

23 HRs, 82 RBIs, 16 SBs, .292 BA, .356 OBP, 3.4 WAR

man, we coulda had him for cash but if there was anyway to possibly get him i'd jump all over it...i know oakland has at least 3 other starting caliber outfielders.

just wanted your guys' thoughts on this...if you wanted him like I did last year, and also if there would be anyway possible for Amaro to redeem himself (not counting on it).

Yup I was screaming for him or whats his name from the rangers at the time and of course we get neither. I never understood why we refuse to take a chance on these guys.

That slow motion dance was disappointing to watch.

I'd guess that if Ruben knew he was going to trade Pence in half a year, he would have been more serious about Cespedes. The Phillies poor performance probably caught him off guard.

i was reading way back in the thread, and someone posted some crazy idea, (what a surprise) asking if a trade for Stanton was possible. now i know this is not realistic, but if Ruben traded our whole farm system for Stanton would anyone seriously be that mad? lol like, i feel like i'd be completly fine with that.
