Totally agree. I think he will be a number 2 starter at the very least.

I'm a big fan of May's upside, but you are seriously overrating the **** out of May with that analysis. At the very least? He profiles at most to be a good to great number 2 at most. He also has serious flaws as a pitcher, which I don't believe the Phillies thought could be fixed long term. We still kept Biddle, Morgan, Martin, and Pettibone with the later three being comparable or better than May.

I'm in the minority here it seems as I really like the deal. This leaves money to be spent on an eighth inning guy, corner OF, and a potentially better SP than Worley.

I'm not that upset with the deal honestly. It wasn't a brilliant trade by any means. Worley's talent level is hard to gauge and as you can see above, I'm not bullish on May.

Right now if we go get Young, it looks like well be paying about 8m for 3b and CF. We could easily go sign Hamilton/Swisher, An SP, and a quality reliever

I'm slowly started to warm up on the Revere trade the more I read about him and consider what we gave up.

i'm actually very curious of this as well. i want a 3B, don't get me wrong, but this team has to get younger at some point. can't just keep trading away all of the young talent.

#2 starter at the very least??? Are you kidding me??? How is a very inconsistant pitcher who has little control a number 2 at the very least? He's not even in the top 100 prospects so how can you possibly justify this statement, especially after his shaky 2012 season?
