SourceLinebacker Sean Weatherspoon, who left last Sunday’s game against the Eagles with an ankle injury, will not play against the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday night, head coach Mike Smith announced Thursday.
WR Kevin Cone has also been ruled out of the game.
Smith said Mike Peterson will play weakside linebacker in the base defense and Akeem Dent will step into the role in the sub defense.

Terrible news, especially with Witten coming to town.

really going to have to focus in on Witten. When we played Chargers, wasn't Decoud covering Gates most of the time and got those 2 int's? Maybe we can get a repeat of that. Hopefully this is the only game Spoon misses. We can't be without him for any length of time!
