Yeah it is, just looked it up. I wonder if he will want to go to a turf spot though.

First thing the Bears need to do is lock up there own guys. Set to hit FA in 2013

    Armando Allen RB
    Zack Bowman CB
    Jason Campbell QB
    Nate Collins DT
    Kelvin Hayden CB
    Geno Hayes Lb
    Israel Idonije DT
    Johnny Knox DT
    Lance Louis G
    Patrick Mannelly ST
    Henry Melton DT
    DJ Moore CB
    Amobi Okoye DT
    Chilo Rachal G
    Nick Roach LB
    Chris Spencer G
    Brian Urlacher LB

Then have these guys going into the last year of there contract
    Kyle Adams TE
    Jay Cutler QB
    Robbie Gould K
    Devin Hester WR
    Tim Jennings CB
    Charles Tillman CB
    J'Marcus Webb T
    Eric Weems WR
    Edwin Williams C
    Corey Wootton DE
    Major Wright S

I would like to see most of those guys resign. Guys like Melton, Cutler, Jennings and Tillman are all probable 6+ a year type guys. IMO it makes sense to try to keep the O line together for a second season and resign Rachel and Louis. But on the flip side wouldn't be totally against letting them go and spending 2 of the top 4 picks on guards to replace them.

If he plays well I don't see him settling for a back up gig.

This is true. Where did he grow up at? Maybe he's a Bear Fan too and would want to be here.

He's from Mississippi. Call me crazy but I was hoping for a neckbeard return as a back up next year

I hate to say it, but I wouldn't complain. Not really an Orton fan, but he would be a solid backup. I'm not sure if he would want to come back though.
