Te'o will be top 10 pick when its all said and done. I hope we can get Taylor Lewan, Jake Mathews or Xavier Rhodes if either fall.

I would rather draft Alec Ogletree and keep afl the draft picks that it would cost to move up into the top 10.

If the Bears just needed a LB and really nothing else, I would be for it, but they could use a LT, C, TE, LB and CB. Too many needs to move up what hopefully could be 18-22 slots in the first round.

Outside of LT, which might be signed through FA, none of those positions are immediate needs.

Our scheme doesn't require too much of a presence of a TE (and Davis is serviceable), I didn't know this but we have a possible C in Edwin Williams, and Jennings + Tillman are still going to be around next year and even if they leave CB is a much easier position to fill than LB.

Urlacher, Willis and Lewis all have shown what a great LB can do, and if Manti is as good as advertised then we really should be all over him.

I just don't see how the Bears have the ammo to even have a shot at Te'o. He's put himself into top 10 discussion and we only have 5 picks to work with.

I don't know if he is top ten. Usually MLB don't go that high, but the reason I don't think he is top ten is the teams drafting in the top ten.

Here is the full draft order. Tiebreakers were made with strength of schedule.

    1. Kansas City Chiefs -1-6 (.531 SOS)
    2. Carolina Panthers - 1-6 (.608 SOS)
    3. Jacksonville Jaguars - 1-6 (.627 SOS)
    4. Cleveland Browns - 2-6 (.526 SOS)
    5. New Orleans Saints - 2-5 (.392 SOS)
    6. St. Louis Rams (via Washington Redskins) - 3-5 (.559 SOS)
    7. St. Louis Rams - 3-5 (.567 SOS)
    8. Tennessee Titans - 3-5 (.569 SOS)
    9. New York Jets - 3-5 (.614 SOS)
    10. Cincinnati Bengals - 3-4 (.404 SOS)

The only team I can see drafting him, that is in the top ten right now are the Bengals.

I'd agree, but would honestly think that a team would be willing trade up to get him...especially if he keeps producing the way he has been.

I am not going to say it not possible, because it is, but I personally Teo going in the 10-15 range, not the top ten.

There's quite a few teams that could trade up into the top ten for a QB, after that I see a DL heavy top ten; the talent is too good for teams to pass up.

Question, what pick did Carolina get Luke? I thought he was drafted at 9th. With the issues with Vilma and their horrible defense I could see the Saints going for Te'o. I also wonder about the Titans and Jets.

    2012 FA/Trade ideas thread

I believe te'o will go around 10, but looking at the draft. I do think looking at the teams some will look to move Down. That will be our oppurtunity

I actually like how Walter football has us drafting for once. Tyler Eifert (TE) in the first, Skov (MLB) in the second.

I'm usually yelling the loudest for OL in the first rounds of the draft and I love Te'o, but we can't seem to develop OL talent and I don't want to give up as many picks as it will take to get high enough for Te'o.

I would rather try and find an established OL in FA or through a trade. That way, we can address TE (Davis has to go) and MLB without have to trade up for Manti.

I've actually flipped C.J. Mosely and Ogletree at this point. Mosely is really growing on me and likely would be available in to the 20s. I'm still selling out on the Barrett Jones bandwagon (he's the player I would trade up for) but Mosely would be on my wish should Emery stay put.

Now that angelo is gone, would baltimore trade with us? Mckinney is on the block for them. 7th round pick woudl prolly get him.
