Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler said it would be hard "to turn down money," but as he considers signing a potential contract extension, he ultimately wants "to be on a winning team."
Asked during the "Jay Cutler Show" on ESPN 1000 on Monday if how the Bears address the offensive line in the offseason will affect his desire to sign an extension with the team, Cutler said it is a scenario he has pondered before.
"The Jay Cutler Show" featured the Bears' quarterback talking about his sore neck and the possibility of signing an extension to stay in Chicago.
"It's interesting. I was just talking to somebody about this a couple of weeks ago. It's hard to turn down money in this league because you never know when it's going to come back around," Cutler said. "You never know what's going to happen with your career, if you're going to get hurt or what's going to happen
