Is Mark Sanchez getting too much blame? To be real, he has no weapons on offense.

So I have never really liked mark sanchez, and never really believed he could be a great quarterback. he could be good no doubt, but i could never see him holding an elite status.

This year he is doing awful, and the quarterback change is talk is heating up. But honestly how the hell can you expect him to do good when his top receiving target is tight end Dustin Keller? And hes injured. His #1 WR is Santonio Holmes. And he just got injured. That pretty much sums up his weapons. Apart from Shonn Greene at RB.

Dustin Keller, Santonio Holmes, and Shonn Green. Thats what Mark Sanchez has to work with. Minus 2 of them at the moment.

Lets compare that to the offensive weapons of the better offenses of the league.

Welker, Lloyd, Gronk, Hernandez, Eledman, ridley
Stevie Johhson, Scott Chandler, Cj Spiller, Fred Jackson

    Mike Wallace, heath miller,
Ray Rice, vonta leach, torrey smith, pitta
    aj green, gresham, green ellis

    Thomas, Mcgahee, erick decker
    gates, floyd, matthews

    johnson, foster, tate, walter, owens

    moore, colston, graham, henderson
    white, jones, gonzalez
    jackson, williams
    smith, olsen, williams, stewart

    garcon, moss, davis, morris, morgan
    jackson, maclin, mccoy, celek
    cruz, nicks, ballard, barden, bradshaw

    moss, crabtree, davis, manningham, gore

jennings, driver, nelson, finley, benson, jones
    marshall, forte, bush, hester,
    johnson, pettigrew,, young

i mean those teams all have better weapons than sanchez. he doesnt have ****

he actually was pretty decent when he had some weapons.

obviously the answer to this question is yes. He's surrounded by a terrible team. O-line sucks, Greene sucks, WR's suck... he needs help.

of course he is. Its NY though, where they find anything in the universe to blame failure on.

Mark Sanchez is just a bad QB. This is coming from a Jets fan. Even when the OL does give him enough time in the pocket he consistently misses his WR's and is incredible inaccurate.

Jay Cutler had productive seasons in Chicago without weapons.

Without question... I think he is pretty bad but I sympathize with him because he is the only qb in the league that when their team wins he gets 0 credit and when his team loses he gets all the blame....The only other QBs i can think of that might get close to this treatment is again Romo/Cutler/Rivers but none get it as bad as Sanchez. Do not get me wrong he is terrible but he never stood a chance from the day he was drafted.

NO QUARTERBACK IN THIS LEAGUE WINS OR LOSES GAMES BY THEMSELVES PERIOD...A PICK 6 COULD BE THROWN TO END THE GAME IN OVER TIME AND THAT QB STILL DID NOT LOSE THAT GAME ALONE BECAUSE OF HOW MANY FACTORS/INTANGIBLES GO INTO EACH GAME.

I really wish people would understand this but they never will...Qbs will continue to get all the credit and all the blame one way or another with the top 10 qbs getting all the credit and excuses made for them when they play bad. This is the way of the NFL and the QB position.

Yes, but I don't think he's that good of a QB either.

I don't watch or pay attention to the Jets much but hasn't their front office been pretty bad? (poor drafts, trading for Tebow, ect.)

Like I said I don't pay much attention to them so if I'm wrong let me know.

More whining from Jets fans, LOL

REAL qbs raise the skill level of players around them

For example you have qbs who are rookies, Luck comes to mind, who are playing on less talented teams who are FAR outperforming Sanchez

    What's the reason for that?

This. Also you lose all credibility when you list Edellman,Pitta and Vontae Leach
Am I the only one that thinks Lebron is on PED's?

Sanchez has played seasons with talent and little talent around him. He's never taken advantage of his opportunities. All you need to do is watch him and see how he looks in a game to know if he sucks or not. Awful awareness, bad instincts, doesn't seem to see the field too well, refuses to throw the ball away. I think he's one of the leagues worst QBs.

Lobster and vicster have some weird bond when it comes to there disapproval of Sanchez and the fact that "qbs make everyone around them" which is false in 30 out of 32 cases if you're not named manning or Brady... Aside from those 2... EVERYONE HAS WEAPONS ... Get over the qbs make everyone better... Everyone needs weapons and the jets weapons are mediocre at the very very beat

Sanchez is not doing the best that he could be, but yes he gets too much blame. The receiving core is weak and the running game is non existent. And the Jets D has been less than stellar. It's very tough to win with this squad, and Sanchez is not an elite type QB that can win or do well with weak roster support.

Melo will become the new Jordan of the league we are so lucky to have him!!!
