I really do believe Butcher is part of our problem! I remember how Fernando Rodney complained they were trying to change his pitching style. So what did he do this year away from the Angels, comeback player of the year! http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2012/1...rodriguez.html .......... How about a new pitching coach in the off-season!

    2012-2013 Offseason Thread

"The Blue Jays have claimed catcher Bobby Wilson off of waivers from the Angels, Alden Gonzalez of MLB.com reports (on Twitter).

Wilson, 29, appeared in 75 games for the Angels this past season. He posted a .211/.277/.292 batting line in 201 plate appearances and prevented 29% of stolen base attempts from behind the plate. Though the right-handed hitter struggles against right-handed pitching, he owns a .242/.315/.455 batting line in 156 plate appearances against left-handers. Wilson will be arbitration eligible for the first time this offseason and had projected as a non-tender candidate in Anaheim."

So it looks like the backup position is between Conger and Hester.

In 3 straight years Toronto acquires Napoli, then Mathis, then Wilson. I think it's obvious where Conger will land in 2014.

He is demanding too much $$ , they need a catcher and 3rd baseman(future) as well. Angels can throw in a pitcher as well.

Cano isn't going anywhere. Plus, he's due a huge contract.

Sean Burnett's contract with the Nationals contains a $3.5MM mutual option for the 2013 season, but the left-hander is expected to decline his portion in hopes of securing a multi-year deal, according to MLB.com's Bill Ladson. Burnett's decision doesn't necessarily spell the end of his time with the Nats. His "first priority," writes Ladson, is to return to the Nationals on a new contract.
Honestly I had never heard of him, but he has some pretty nice numbers

    IP 59 ERA 2.76 WHIP 1.23 K/9 7.8 BB/9 2.7

His numbers are better versus lefties

    PA 144 BAA .211 OBP .245 K 28 BB 1 (2012 only)
    PA 95 BAA .298 OBP .347 K 29 BB 11 (versus righties)

Looks like a lefty specialist, something we need

How is that possible? Bobby Wilson....

He is one of the worse defensive catcher in the major league.

The only thing Butcher was trying to do was make him more consistent at throwing strikes. And do you honestly believe Rodney will be able to come close to replicating this season again? In comparison to his whole career this season is a big outlier.
