All signs point to Locker sitting this one out. I even read that the doctor is recommending surgery, which would end his season.

Yeah they were talking about that today on Titans radio saying that whether he has it not or at the end of the year he is gonna need surgery on his shoulder. If he waits until after the season then he is gonna be on the shelf 4-6 months which puts him possibly into missing mini camps and some of training camp next summer.

But from the way they were talking today he is for sure out these next 2 weeks and won't be back until Week 7 in Buffalo at the earliest.

Edit: According to Rotoworld Jake Locker has officially been ruled out for this week. Also supposedly Colin McCarthy is gonna be out and Kenny Britt may miss again as well.

But today when they were talking about potentially shutting Jake Locker down to have season-ending surgery he said that it would essentially end the Titans season at least in many fans eyes. Its unlikely that they can finish this season any better than 6-10 at this point. But at least with Jake Locker they were getting their quarterback of the future some valuable experience. What about with Matt Hasselbeck? Its pretty unlikely he is gonna be back next season so you would have a lame duck quarterback on a struggling team.

All the same this isn't a terrible matchup for the Titans. The Vikings aren't an offensive powerhouse. They are only averaging around 22 points and 300 yards of offense a game. A couple big plays and the Titans will be likely a game opponent. This isn't likely to be a game where its over in the 1st half.

God.... I hope Locker comes back and finishes the season. I read somewhere today that a source in the NFL is wondering if the Titans would consider drafting a QB in the first round of this draft. I think it's WAY too early for that, and that Locker has shown glimpses of being an above average QB in this league. I think he needs to get as healthy as he can be as early as possible, tough it out until the end of season to show what he can do and then get the surgery done once the season ends.

The McCarthy and Britt injuries concern me as well. Those two guys have to be on the field for this team to be successful. Adrian Peterson is going to absolutely destroy the Titans run defense this week without McCarthy and Hasselbeck will have a hard enough time passing WITH Britt in the lineup, much less without him.

With a healthy Locker, McCarthy and Britt, I think this would be a solid matchup. Without them, I think the Titans will lose this game. I just hope it's close.

It isn't looking like Kenny Britt is gonna play this week according to the Tennessean. Also Jared Cook has pretty much had to sit out practice all week and is looking like maybe a game time decision.

I wouldn't count on it with Kenny Britt out.

Going to be a tough one with the hot Vikings and their stellar defense. Locker and Britt out is going to make it really tough for them to move the ball.

Every offensive play is coming back to the line of scrimmage instead of towards the 1st down marker.. Hasselbeck can't hit anybody on any legitimate routes.

Stupid on their part. The guy clearly isn't healthy and he is playing in a game against a tough defense when they have to turn around and play again on Thursday night. Stupid....

Terrible matchup next week against Pittsburgh on a short week. A tough defense and a good passing team only 4 days after this game.

This run blocking is atrocious. Absolutely embarrassing.
