Kyle Kendrick (10-12, 4.08 ERA) vs. John Lannan (4-0, 4.23 ERA)
Phillies: One win shy of tying a career high in wins, Kendrick takes the mound for his final start of the year. He hopes to fare better against the Nats this time around, as he gave up three homers in just two-plus innings against them on Wednesday at home.
Nationals: Lannan will face the Phillies after beating them Wednesday, when he allowed two runs in 5 1/3 innings. The lefty has won his last two starts against Philadelphia after going 1-12 in his first 15 starts against the Nats' division rival.

---------------TBA (0-0, -.-- ERA) vs. Gio Gonzalez (21-8, 2.89 ERA)
Phillies: Scouting report coming soon.
Nationals: Gonzalez could pass several milestones in his final regular-season start, nearing 200 innings with his 22nd win in sight. The NL Cy Young Award candidate beat the Phillies his last time out, striking out six as he allowed three runs over six innings.

------------Cliff Lee (6-8, 3.12 ERA) vs. Edwin Jackson (9-11, 4.13 ERA)
Phillies: Lee did his part in Friday's 2-1 loss to the Marlins at Marlins Park. He pitched splendidly, allowing three hits, one run and striking out five in seven innings. But his night followed a familiar path: No run support.
Nationals: Jackson will try to rebound from a disastrous outing in St. Louis, where he allowed nine runs in 1 1/3 innings. Manager Davey Johnson remains confident in Jackson, but a solid outing to end the regular season would help rebuild his morale.
