Off-Season Trade Worth Making For 2013 Season

With Carlos Lee becoming an FA in the off-season, the Marlins should trade Josh Johnson for Justin Morneau one for one, who would be an excellent & cheaper replacement for Carlos Lee at 1st.

I think Morneau would be a good pick-up, but I am interested in knowing why you would want to trade Josh Johnson for him?

Morneau is not much more special than a few 1B's that we can pick-up in free agency - Kotchman and Pena come to mind.

Not saying it is a terrible trade, but I would like to see how we do with the free agent market, first.

No...I would not trade JJ for anyone right now...he needs to build his value again, plus Nolasco is not ace material. I would rather get a real out fielder and put Morrison on 1st.

Would Span and Liam Hendriks make more sense? The Marlins have been connected to Span in the past... Hendriks tore up AAA this year but got lit up in the bigs. Maybe he would be better in the NL...?

Everyone in the Twins Forum knows my man crush on him. I have thought an offer Of Arcia and Hauser or Hendricks.. Arcia has been a force coming up!! and Hauser would help your staff grow .. He is a solid, solid offering, clean mechanics and should be able to contribute next season. But if you are willing to take Morneau for Johnson straight up EVERYONE (who knows anything about baseball in MN) would jump on that as fast as we could!!

I think the Marlins should swap Buck & Bell to the Yankees in exchanged for A-rod. Yes a-rod is owed a ton of money, but the revenue he would bring to the Marlins would pay off.
