Al and Josh messed up down the stretch, but the real issue for me is how bad our perimeter D has been. None of our guards could stay in front of Bynum and Stuckey, and keep losing track of their shooters. Just sloppy in the 4th.

I know Bynum missed the layup but how did he get 1 on 1 with Smoove?
And Josh airballs ANOTHER jumper. SMFH
I'll take the W.
ajc“It wasn’t as much as what they were doing as what we were doing,” coach Larry Drew said. “We got a little complacent. We started playing the lead. We stopped executing. Defensively, as good as we were in the first half, we were just as bad in the second half. We had defensive breakdowns. We had too many lapses. We were leaving 3-point shooters. Our coverages weren’t as sharp as they were in the first half. Once (the lead got cut) to 10, I could see our guys looking at the scoreboard.”
Pistons also got 21 offensive rebounds (!) but that's what happens when you play small-ball.

I just want to say, can we hire someone to work on free throws. Come on!

I think the Hawks really miss Harris's perimeter defense.
It's the price they pay for letting their bigs handle the rock so much. Drew has to start trusting guys like Lou and JT to make plays late in games (or Korver/Morrow if they need a 3) because at least we know they can hit their FTs.Originally Posted by *Silver&Black*
Yeah, probably so. But we knew he was gonna have trouble staying healthy. No excuses for these other guys.Originally Posted by SB75

“I’m having success there,” [Lou] Williams said of his starting role. “I’m in my eighth year. The last time I started was 2010 and that was a job I lost to injury instead of how I was actually playing. To not get that position back for two more seasons is different for me.
“But like I’ve said, I’m happy about the opportunity I have here. I understand that we mix up the lineups here as well so there can be games where I’m not starting or I am starting. Whatever it is, we are being successful right now. It’s bigger than me. It’s a team effort. I play a team sport and that’s all it’s about.”
is Josh gonna play tonight?
The Quest for the Cup. Round 2
I'm really liking what I'm seeing out of Jenkins. While I wanted PJ3 or Wroten, Jenkins have proved me wrong so far. If he can defend the bigger more athletic two's, we may have a great find in the this kid. His shot is a thing of beauty! I don't know where he fits in when Devin comes back as we do need and miss his defense and leadership, but I hope the kid continue's to get mins. I wonder if Drew will use him and Lou or Devin ( which ever one doesn't start) as the primary guard back-ups and have Kyle and Stevenson split the min at the 3.
