I hate when they ask you in January if you want to change your season expectations if you think you can do better, and yet they offer the same amount of transfer and wage budget.

Eh, it's only a slower start to climb the rankings though some of the job offers you get without continental/professional rep are hilarious. I took FC Heiderheim into the Bundesliga and barely missed out on the Champions League before I bailed for Chelsea after the Marcello Lippi era (LOL) at Stamford Bridge ended spectacularly. It would have taken a couple more years to accomplish more with Heiderheim due to losing talent and a majority of funding going into a new stadium/facilities. Not to mention the Board was stingy with transfer budget. Was a good run though!

Both amounts can change if you manage to do well/turn a profit and ask the board to increase wage/transfer budget at any point during the season. In the top-tier leagues, asking for extra wage budget can easily turn into at least an additional £4m+ player.

    it's called buying the game

I hope they don't **** up the editor as much as it is rumored. Anticipation to mess with the editor is killing me

    You edit stuff
    Fix player attributes/preferences
    Fix club finances
    Fix competition reputations
    Fix transfers/future transfers

    -------------

    Create new leagues/cups
    Create new whatever you want

The editor was used to populate the game. It can be used to parse the game's library, easily add/remove/edit any object in the game including teams, players, staff, media outlets and also change how the game is played - all through a streamlined interface. If you've ever read anything about FM, downloaded any fixes or tactics - chances are the editor enabled it.

That said, any restrictions added to the editor would indeed suck, but I can't imagine Sports Interactive doing anything drastic for fear of backlash.

The new layout takes some getting used to, it's a lt to process, a lot of reports, but I love it. Because now I feel it's a more in depth analysis of every player.

Still need to get used to tweakin the right training intensities. But it looks good so far.

    I like it.

I absolutely love the way they set up the trade deadline with the Countdown clock. Very cool.
