Every time I see a common crow or a raven I'll watch them until they fly away. In Colorado, the magpie is another in the corivdae family that I'll watch a lot. I see an occassional owl late at night here in Phoenix and they're always fun to watch. The best bird watching experiences in Arizona come from watching roadrunners. Those are the coolest birds ever. When I was working at the Home Depot for a while, a pair of them made a home in the outside garden section and they got so used to people I was able to pet one. Probably the coolest nature experience of my life after staring down a bear in Colorado.
