Well it sounds like we might get Dion and Kyrie back Tuesday, that's a start.
Via Terry Pluto:
3. The Cavs won't say it, but they sent this team on another lottery-bound journey at the start of the season. When the roster is so young and no significant veterans are added, you are telling your coach, "Play the young guys, help them improve, and we'll get you more help next summer."
Yeah, I saw that too. I personally think it's pretty stupid. Why not give them an extra day of rest and just have them take part in the morning shoot-around Tuesday? Whatever.
http://www.rotoworld.com/playernews/...ll-player-newsBryon Scott may rest Anderson Varejao during some of the Cavaliers' practices.
"I just won't practice him," Scott said of the league's leading rebounder. "He'll get his rest one way or the other. When we go up and down, five-on-five, I've been keeping him out of that." This is simply a precaution to prevent AV from burning out, and his owners have no cause for concern.
Sounds like he doesn't mind sitting AV in practice. Probably still gets some things out of him but this is pretty smart as the one player they cannot burn out right now is AV.
So no word on Kyrie and Dion yet?
We should find out after practice today.
I didn't think Kyrie was due back until closer to X-Mas.
“@JasonLloydABJ: Kyrie returned to practice today, expected to play tmrw vs Lakers. #Cavs”
“@JasonLloydABJ: Huge news for a #Cavs team that desperately need good news. Irving returning a week early. No word yet on Waiters, presuming he's still out.”
“@CavsJMike: For those of you asking, the #Cavs Dion Waiters remains day-to-day with the sprained ankle.”
That's great news about Kyrie. Hopefully Dion can get back this week at some point.
Very good news about KI with no setbacks. With all of his injuries so far, the three, at least he is coming back on time if not earlier for all three with having no setbacks. Hopefully know he can get some calls in the lanes instead of getting hacked all the time and no called.
Hopefully the game tomorrow will be at least half way watchable with Kyrie in there. This last week has been absolutely brutal.
