Toronto Blue Jays (66-79) @ New York Yankees (83-63) [9/18-9/20]

    Yankee Stadium
    Bronx, NY

Game 1: Tuesday, September 18 at Yankee Stadium | 7:05 PM ET

    VS.
    Ricky Romero... .....Andy Pettitte

    For the Jays:
Romero, who hasn't won since June 22 in Miami, enters Tuesday's start with a 13-game losing streak that is tied for the worst skid in franchise history. Three of the 13 losses came against the Bronx Bombers. In his most recent start on Wednesday, Romero allowed three runs over just four innings in a 3-2 loss to Seattle, allowing eight hits and issuing four free passes.

    For the Yankees:
The return of Andy Pettitte. Pettitte threw a simulated game at Yankee Stadium on Wednesday, and he will be limited to roughly 70 pitches against the Blue Jays. He said his main concern is fatigue, since his fractured ankle prevented him from conditioning for most of his stint on the DL.

Game 2: Wednesday, September 19 at Yankee Stadium | 7:05 PM ET

    VS.
    Henderson Alvarez......Phil Hughes

    For the Jays:
Alvarez allowed three runs on five hits while striking out two during his last start against Seattle. He has thrown two straight quality starts while allowing five runs over 13 1/3 innings following a stretch of five consecutive losses.

    For the Yankees:
Hughes has emerged as one of New York's most consistent starters while the rotation dealt with injuries, posting a 3.24 ERA since June. He limited the Blue Jays to one run in seven innings in a late August start to earn one of his 15 wins.

Game 3: Thursday, September 20 at Yankee Stadium | 7:05 PM ET

    VS.
    Aaron Laffey..........CC Sabathia

    For the Jays:
Laffey lasted just 3 2/3 innings during his last start against Boston. He surrendered three runs -- all on a homer by Ryan Lavarnway -- while allowing four hits and three walks. It was his shortest start of the year and his fourth consecutive loss.

    For the Yankees:
Sabathia's velocity improved his last time out against the Rays, but he struggled with command in a three-run inning during a Yankees loss. He allowed nine earned runs in 13 combined innings his last two times out, both losses.

They really need to start taking advantage of these series. A sweep would be a huge boost for this team.

Game tonight looks doubtful....unless they delay it till 9pm when the rain is expected to move out. Except the winds will be between 20-25mph with gusts around 50mph

The O's get to face King Felix tomorrow. That should be a loss.

We've seen all year that nothing makes sense when it comes to the Orioles. Therefore, I fully expect them to knock Felix out after the 3rd inning.

9PM only looks to be a small window at this point. It's trending to look like another line of moderate to heavy rain after that window.

It could happen. In his last three games (all losses), Felix has given up 16 ER in 16 IP.

Well, since Felix is 0 for September, I wouldn't wager on it. Last 3 starts...15 innings...16 earned runs.
