KRS-One, Pac, B.I.G, Big L, Ice Cube, Nas, and Gangstarr.
Those are the artists that really tranformed 'lyricism" into the music I listened to.

KRS-One and Chuck D (Public Enemy) presented music in a different approach. They taught through their lyrics, and KRS was like MLK, and Chuck D was similar to Malcolm X. I appreciate what Chuck D did for music, but his radical approach managed to push me away. KRS-One progressively approach was acceptable, and easier to acknowledge.

I don't view lyrics based on freestyles, and that stupid ****. Camron tried to flow over "Ambitionz a Ridah" beat and called it Ambitionz as a Killa. They just get hella high, and have fun in the studio (assuming but the latest mixtapes sound like a compilation of crap).

Wyclef Jean is another great lyricist. He was amazing with Lauren Hill.
