Welbeck works his *** off so it's really good to see him get a goal.

Ramos was a dirty little bastard in the first half, a complete dive to get Van Persie booked and then an elbow to Johnny Evans' face. Hopefully there's no more of that in the second half.

I know Evra probably still would have lost out to Ronaldo had he been positioned better (and actually jumped), but you have to wonder how long he has left in Fergie's preferred starting eleven. He seems to be out of position all the time and even when in position doesn't seem to be able to win the ball back or stop crosses going in.

Welbeck off for Valencia. I was really surprised to see him get the start over Valencia but well done to him for a really good match.

Valencia should make a really big difference, being fresh with 20 minutes left.

GG I thought di Maria was very good. Higuain looked invisible for the most part. Very few modern day soccer players would take a 35yard fk. MU kinda got shafted with the final corner not allowed. Should be interesting to see game 2.
