Trading Fielder would free up a ton of Payroll
According to Buster Olney of ESPN, Jeremy Bonderman is progressing well in his recovery from Tommy John surgery and is intent on making a return to the MLB in 2013.
Bonderman underwent Tommy John surgery in April of 2012 and hasn't pitched in the big leagues since posting a disappointing 5.53 ERA over 171 innings with the Tigers in 2010. He's allegedly dropped 35 pounds and is in fantastic shape, and should be able to generate a spring training invitation from somewhere.
Bondo should be a invite. lets see what he's got.

And while we see starter Anibal Sanchez and reliever Rafael Soriano as possible fits for the Tigers -- which other sites have speculated -- a few interesting names come up as corner-outfield possibilities.
The following names came up in Bowden's column, along with their best fits:
• Nick Swisher: Orioles, Phillies, Braves, Tigers, Mariners
• Angel Pagan: Giants, Nationals, Tigers, Phillies
• Torii Hunter: Yankees, Angels, Rangers, Tigers
• Melky Cabrera: Tigers, Blue Jays, Phillies
• Cody Ross: Phillies, Tigers, Red Sox, Braves
I'll hurt something if we overpay for Swisher. Hunter I'd like.

Plz not Swisher
How about making a deal with Cleveland for Perez and Cabrera?
I can't see the Tigers front office or fans wanting anything to do with Perez after he ran his mouth a few times about the team and city last season.
