Would he just be a FA or do they have to go through a draft and if there not picked then they become a FA.
You can't cure stupid, the guy is gonna get in more trouble before he enters the draft in 2014.

hey guys havent posted since the preseason lol been preoccupied with my fantasy team seen this was in the top 3 so i wanted to post my 3 round mock from walterfootball on whos going to be available when we pick

    1. Taylor Lewan OT - Now it may just be the wolverine fan in me but we need to sure up our tackle situation because i like Jason Fox but he can be upgraded and i see Reiff as a RT and Taylor Lewan to me might be as good as Jake Long.

    2. Khaled Holmes C or Andre Ellington RB - Here is the logic on this with Holmes he will need to add at least 10lbs to play in our power scheme and we also have Naggy but with him health is a concern but with Ellington he is the fast scat back that we need since its getting obvious Jahvid is still here because the front office wants to get him into the pension plan i personally would go with Ellington but there is an argument for each.

    3. Robert Lester S - This is where i fully agree with Walter in which Lester pass coverage is higher than Barron was last year he is not the best in run support but with Delmas back there with him it should really be a non issue also with Spievey constant concussion issue you really have to wonder how he is going to end up.

Now i know most want to address corner in the 1st but unless someone with speed and size is there i really believe it will be put on the back burner until the later rounds like this year and with Bentley Green hopefully Greenwood and possibly Houston coming back we will be ok will update as the season goes on but would really like to hear your thoughts and opinions on this really like to hear your guys input and counter thoughts.

What. No even close. I don't know why he is projected first round. He is consistently drawing two to three holding penalties and is majorly overrated in terms of pass blocking because of Denards ability to extend plays. Long was a stud. He was rarely beat ever and there was a reason Long was the first pick of the draft. If Lewan was even close to that he would be top 3 for sure.

The Lions need a couple of wrinkles. I think the Reiff jumbo package is a nice wrinkle to have for now. Adding one more thing for the defense to prepar for is a good strategy that seems to work for teams like the 9ers and Steelers (from a few years ago).
I agree. I see Denard as a Josh Cribbs type of player.

He would fit well on our team. I would pick him up for sure if he was there in the 3rd (I think he will be)

I'm sure Mayhew will pass him up tho for some small school "project" CB or Tackle.

I am a UM fan and I don't think I could take him in the first. I will take FA Jake long this offseason though. Maybe for a hometown discount.

I'm sure that Long and Bush will both wanna walk this season in Miami. One of them will get the tag for sure. I think Long will be the one to get tagged.

I would LOVE to have him tho.

Before we can even discuss our FA "wish list" we gotta free up some cap space. Burleson getting hurt was a blessing in disguise if you ask me. Now Mayhew would be an absolute dip **** to bring him back.

KVB needs to be released at year end as well. If Avril resigns, we can't pay him any more than about 7M/season.

We do those three things, we will be looking at about 14M in cap space to sign some reputable players. I'm not a Reggie Bush fan but he would compliment LeShoure well IMO.

im guessing stafford gets an extension this offseason. he is due 20+ million next season and an extension would free up a bunch of money a la calvin johnson's contract.

    - Who to chose between Durant and Levy if we can't have both.
    - Will Heller, he will be cheap

    50/50
    - We will see how Avril does ping forward after a nice showing against the Eagles
    - CWill/Lo Jack depend on their asking price

Look for a team in the later first who wants to trade. Send them our 1st and a future 4th for their 1st and 2nd.

    1. Barrett Jones do it all Alabama*
    2a. Desmond Trufant CB Washington*
2b. Tank Carradine DE Florida State (don't know what will happen with Avril and KVB is old)*
    3. Larry warford Gaurd Kentucky (mauler type, say he is a Alabama lineman clone)
5a. Kenjen Barner RB Oregon. (Best replacement)*
5b. Brandon Bishop S NC State (step in starter, special teamer, depth)
    6. Jordan Reed TE Florida (little Aaron Hernandez type player.*
    7. Devonte Hollomon OLB South Carolina (coveted safety so you know he has ok coverage skills, good size) **
Does Buffalo's coaching staff not like Williams? They just drafted him a few years ago..

I like the Jones pick though he would play guard or center for us. Might be a little early especially if a franchise LT is sitting there or a stud DE/CB. Only other guy I am familiar with is Barner and I really like the pick. Watching SCar/Tenn right now so I'll keep an eye out for Hollomon.

Also plan on watching Georgia/Florida so maybe I'll see some Reed.

Come on dude. If Lattimore entered the Draft and was sitting there in Rd 2, you would have to be crazy not to take him. With today's doctors, these injuries aren't as serious.

And the commentators brought up a good point. McGahee had a serious injury in college and is still a highly productive back.

The sad thing is that Stafford doesn't deserve a penny more than Jay Cutler (Jay earns 8.25/season) but Stafford will probably get more.

I'm sick of wrapping up our money in a handful of players. I thought Johnson's contract was stupid too.....that formula never works for a winning team.

You do realize that now BOTH his knees have been severly injured now? He just came back from his prior injury last season.

I would have been fine picking him up prior to today's injury but there is NO WAY we can take that kind of risk again. If Mayhew drafts him, I would compare his draft strategy to those people who head straight to the casino on payday trying to double thier paychecks but coming out empty handed.

How do you know it is severe? It looked bad but they haven't given us a diagnosis.

Again, McGahee had reconstructive surgery and is still a damn good back. Taking players off your board because of injuries would be dumb. I bet the Vikings are glad they didn't take AP off their board because of injury concerns..
