I see people are saying put Nagy in down the line. I honestly feel the man is ready to step in and start somewhere given an opening(like kickin doms *** out the door). He just hasnt been healthy is the main thing. No one can say he cant be, but he hasnt been.

If he could get healthy and step into the lineup that would be really nice. Draft Joeckel, Larry Warford in the 2nd, Eric Reid in the 3rd. Somehow get another 3rd and a 4th and fill those slots with Tyrann Mathieu and Dri Archer.

-have an oline of Joeckel-Sims-Nagy-Warford-Reiff
-skill set would look better just adding Archer, and an upgraded oline instantly helps our run game and makes our offense more potent.
-Secondary adds two stud LSU players in Reid and Mathieu.
-Archer has a sweet name and can return the hell out of the ball and be another threat for us on offense with a 3rd solid running back and an added speedy-slot type player.

I think it'd be a mistake going OL in rounds 1 and 2 when we don't have many picks nor money to fill all the vacancies on D. But if Joeckel is there in the first how can you pass on him?

Nagy is apparently almost there and is going to the facility and taking part in some things (seen it on rotoworld a few weeks ago) and Schwartz said he definitely has future with the team, which is pretty obvious, or why would they hang on to him all year.

Even if he doesn't take over at centre next year, he play can OG too.

Joeckel - Sims - Raiola - Nagy - Reiff

Not much chemistry in that line, but skill wise it's way better than what we have now. But this FO always seems like they owe something to the vets so i'm sure Peterman and Backus will be back even if Joeckel does come here.

this year those guys are Werner, Teo, Jarvis Jones, Joeckel, Warmack, and call me crazy but Mike Gillislee. that dude is gonna ball out in the league

I like where ur goin with this. We should have a sticky thread like "lions big board" and we list all the POSSIBLE options for each round and make mocks in there. Also ppl can claim new prospects in which they believe to be appealing.*

We could even do something where each person is assigned a team and ur responsibility is to find that teams biggest weaknesses and address the problems going into next season. Hell, we could allow trades too. Everyone keep track of their teams and we can see who would have put together the best squads next season (as far as the numbers go)

I see this as a deep draft and we will be trading a couple players and possibly draft picks next year to get more picks this year. I think Titus will be able to get us a fourth. He has a ton of talent and the lions will not settle for anything less. I know someone will take a shot. The list of teams that need a receiver or would be interested in my opinion are the Jets, Patriots, Chargers, Cardinals, Rams, Miami, Panthers, Vikings, Chiefs, Seahawks, Cleveland, and Tennessee. Also I could see us moving Peterman if we are really confident in Nagy or we get a guard early. He would warrant a fifth-seventh. Some people have brought up Pettigrew but he is not going anywhere. He is a great tight end. Unless a team offers a first round pick I don't think the lions will budge. Also if Best can somehow pass a physical I could see him being shipped for a sixth or seventh. Thats where most talented RB with injury history land in the draft anyway. And to be honest if we can get rid of Mike Thomas that would be great. His contract is not worth keeping. Its like 20 million over the next three or four years. He will be our fourth or fifth receiver at best. Thats more than Burleson or Broyles would make next year. Plus I see us using a late pick on a receiver or even keeping Durham because of the chemistry with Stafford. I see us picking up at least two more picks before draft day.

I'm with ya buddy. we as fans are too use to the lions being stupid, on top of the old league contract in terms of paying draft picks. There were so many trades in last years draft. Hell this team always tries to get more high end picks. we always have with mayhew.

we traded up so we could have titus and leshoure in the 2nd.

we moved up into the 1st for best.

we tried to trade up for pat peterson but the team wouldnt bite(wish we had that man on our team)

traded for many players with late round picks.

made multiple player for player deals.

even gave away a future 4th for Whitehead.

Im sorry but theres alot of insanity going on in this post. You think Pettigrew would warrant a 1st rd pick in order to be moved? Thats crazy. Pettigrew is 3rd round value at best. Put it this way, we drafted the guy at 20...and hes been a disappointment. How in the world would you ever think of getting a 1st back for him?! Doesnt work like that. If any team offered a 2nd he would be gone in an instant..and so would that teams GM.

Peterman sucks,...if you wanna pray for a 7th maybe you could get that.

You criticize Mike Thomas' contract, but then expect to get a pick back? We gave a 5th, and hes only depreciated since then. We are currently throwing passes to KRIS DURHAM, keep that in mind. WTF are you getting for Thomas? Nothing.

Titus a 4th? You're dreaming man. Every team in the league knows we are going to cut him before next season. Nobody is giving up a mid rd pick for him...those picks may not seem valuable to us cause we almost always miss but for other teams that know what they are doing a 4th actually has value.
