    2013 Compensatory Draft Picks

Not sure if this is "thread worthy" but a lot of people are doing mock drafts so I thought this would help:

    3rd round- Houston (1)

    4th round- Oakland (1), Baltimore (1), Green Bay (1), Detroit (1)

    5th round- Atlants (1), Baltimore (1), San Fransico (1)

    6th round- Baltimore* (2), Carolina (2), Houston (3), Oakland (3), Miami (1)

7th round- Arizona, Atlanta, Buffalo, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Detroit, Green Bay, Jacksonville, Miami, Tennesse, Pittsburg all get 1 and Philly and KC both get 2

YESS!!! I knew we'd get a 4th for Wright. That basically fills out our draft nicely now.

Barnes didn't play enough games for Wash. to get our 7th.

And the good news if Avril signs elsewhere we could possibly be looking at another 3rd or 4th comp pick next season.

maybe we'll use our extra 7th on a crazy-pot smoking-yet gifted & talented- one year standout with two bad knees & history of concussions.

Just as a side note (and I am sure most people already know this) compensatory draft picks CANNOT BE TRADED.

The team whom is awarded with the compensatory pick must draft a player.

Probably just one of the comp picks to fill out the draft or something like that. Forget the reason, but i don't think it involves losing a FA.

Sometimes they just award 7th round picks to teams with higher draft picks whom have traded picks in the past to round out the draft order.

It probably has something to do with that draft trade last year with MIN

We get picks in exchange for getting bent over by the officials every week.

Isn't that the type player we typically use our second round pick for?
