@SoftliSTL: Source; NFL Refs will be back to work before week 5 - conversation will pick up again next week. NFL cant afford another week of miscues

So I guess the early bye week is a bonus for the Steelers and Colts.
"[Roethlisberger is] the most underrated quarterback of the 21st century."
    -Bill Simmons, Editor, Grantland

"Roethlisberger is perpetually underrated, to the point that even when he breaks records, it doesn’t really feel like it."
    -Joseph Milord, Editor, Elite Daily

"I am ... a big Roethlisberger fan. I really like Ben. He will be in that Hall of Fame someday."
-Joe Montana, Hall of Fame QB

FACT: The Steelers NEVER scored 436 points in a season with Bruce Arians calling the plays.

Replacement refs are doing a fine job, it's not necessary to pay the other refs big bucks.

Well listen, I talked to Julio Jones wife, she is Roger Godells best friend. I'm hearing from a source that they talked it over. They talked it over with Steve Smith. Steve Smith was in Julio Jones 5th grade class.

From what I've seen so far today, this has been hands down the worst officiating week. It's been really really really really bad

Are you KIDDING me? This was a sad day in the NFL for officiating and I feel embarrassed for watching that display. It wasn't just 1 game either.

Goodell needs to get off his sorry ***** and get the real refs back

The refs are slightly worse. I'm not buying it at all that the NFL "can't afford" to go with replacement refs any more. I have yet to meet a fan who has made the decision to not go to a game or not watch a game because of the refs. I doubt NFL popularity has dropped one bit.
