Obviously we'd all prefer there to be hockey, but I understand the silver lining he's pointing out.

Things will always work out in the end, but if you want them to turn out a certain way... You need to make it happen.

NHLPA plans to use Quebec law that bars the NHL from locking out workers that are represented by a union, so the NHL will not be able to lock out any MTL players. Not sure about the rest of the league but rumour is that Fehr is looking at other Canadian teams first to see if they can do the same under Ontario law, B.C law, etc.
LOL of course it's Quebec. Shocking. The French, including France, are known for this political BS when there are strikes/lockouts. A company has every right as far as I see it to lock unions out.

Mtl can feel free to play in the Quebec Senior league for all I care.
EDIT: Sorry guys i have a correction.
Quebec law states that MTL players can not be locked out because the NHLPA is not a certified union in their eyes, therefore all MTL players are safe.
last time i listen to The Score.
I think i heard on sportsnet radio that alberta can do the same...so it looks like 1 of 3 teams will win the cup this yr lol
Where was this law in 04/05?

No one was smart enough back then
Nothing to do with Quebec has EVER been smart.

Its a 2-way deal in the first year at 600K and and a 1-way deal in the second year at 625K. Great signing.
Reimer has the season, assuming there is one, to prove to be the guy. If not I bet they go looking seriously for someone as a replacement. Scrivens isn't flashy but he seems consistant.
Is Reimer on a 2 way? If there is a strike both Reimer and Scrivens should be playing with the Marlies until the strike is done. The more seasoning the better.
I think Reimer is on a 1 way contract, IIRC.
No AHL for him if he's on a 1 way deal then
