    Loyal or stupid

I have been a lions fan and sports fan for 3 decades. why does it seem like the ownerships dedication to winning doesnt exist. Every one has won in this state tom monaghan ( tigers ) mike illitch (redwings) bill davidson ( pistons/ shock ) and even Alfred Taubman ( michigan panthers USFL )

Today Baltimore fired there Offensive Coordinator cause they loss two straight was that extreme maybe but the ravens are in the playoff hunt why cant we have owners that will pull the plug on inexperienced coaching. What are your true feelings about the Fords.

i think the fords are waaaaay to loyal. Millen should have been fired years before they pulled the trigger. I'm hoping the younger generation of fords act faster & demand results.

Yeah I'm not too thrilled with the loyalty the Fords have shown in the past. Millen is the prime example of that.

Doesn't the Ford car company have a history of being loyal to it's employees?

his son, ford jr, said he wouldve pulled the plug on millen a while ago, i rember because it was on 97.1 the ticket (the day after they fired millen) which he is right, that was the biggest bs ever

i got no problem the owners liking who they hire (as gm or coaches) but first as always, its a business, not a laid back drink on the job type, (i wouldnt care if they drank as long as the job got done! lol)

i wish fords would come out and say to mayhew, hey, this is who we want you to sign/draft like how illitch's did

that becomes a jerry jones type of owner... not in favor of that, it' leads to bad trades for under achieving WR's.

Can't write off Jerry Jones because of his Roy Williams trade. Got to admit, the guy does have a world class franchise in his hands that he's done pretty well with.

I don't want an owner picking up the phone and TELLING a GM what he should do specifically regarding this player, or that player. But at the same time, you need an owner who can see the end result of a GM's handful of decisions over a period of time and demand things to go a different way - or else. No professional should ever have the comfort of knowing their job is safe regardless of their performance.

    Scrap Detroit!!

I guess your right about jones, I don't think he'd be where he is if it wasn't for jimmy Johnson. I guess the fords approach is fine IF you have someone like bill COWHER in place.
