2 more weeks until we can finally put the waiting game to rest. I don't see it going past Jan 10th...the season will either be on or cancelled by then I would have to think (just based on the past shortened season).

I agree with Jan 10th. Ive almost lost all hope. Im about 95% sure this season isnt happening.

No progress whatsoever it seems, very disappointing especially since the Bears season is just about over and I really don't watch much Bulls basketball.

I watched it, and man - that team was pure domination top to bottom. Watching Buff in front of the net was just so much fun.

My hatred for Chris Pronger came back last night watching that. haha

On that note, if there is a 48 game season... what are your guys' thoughts on the Cup? Just feels like its not RIGHT to put a team on the greatest trophy in professional sports with a short season (again)

I have mixed feelings but in the end I'm okay with it. A shorter season benefits a weaker team and a team that doesn't run into injuries. The better teams might not have enough time to overcome a slow start or to get by certain injuries. Minnesota started off real hot last year and the Kings started off terrible. Could have been a different looking playoffs (definitely would have been) if there were only 48 games.

The reason I'm okay with it...if you win 16 games in the playoffs, probably the toughest and most demanding playoffs in any professional sports, then you deserve to hoist the Cup.

There has been an offer and two counter offers in about the last week. Really hoping that means things are getting closer...
