    Hernandez doesn't make trip

Hernandez did not make the trip to England with the team

The NFL Network’s Burt Breer is reporting Hernandez did not make the overseas trip with the Patriots, who arrived in London early Friday morning.

Hernandez played the last two weeks for New England after missing three games with an ankle injury he suffered in the Patriots Week 2 loss to the Arizona Cardinals. He totaled 11 receptions for 84 yards and a touchdown in his two games back, but could have re-aggravated the ankle last week against the Jets.

Matthew Berry said this though on his facebook-

Aaron Hernandez did not make the trip to London, but Mike Reiss of ESPNBoston.com points out Hernandez was expected to become a dad very soon so maybe he stayed back for that and could make a later flight.

Guess well know for sure when they release the injury report this afternoon.

    Update.....

    Per Adam Schefter

@AdamSchefter: Pats TE Aaron Hernandez's ankle has not responded to treatment. He's struggling to cut, will not play Sunday vs. Rams. Bye next week to rest

McCourty to S, Arrington in on just about every play...

Our WR shut down by their CB's

Gronk, Ridley, Vereen, Wilson, Jones, and Brady are going to have to pull this one out.

We need him to be more of a leader,” Ainge said. “There were just a couple situations where he was late this year, I don’t know if he was sitting in his car, but showed up late and the rest of the team was there. We have team rules and you have to be on time. He was fined for being late, he said he was stuck in traffic, and it’s just unacceptable.”

    Sterling Moore was released today.

Patriots signed DB Derrick Martin and LB Mike Rivera.
The Patriots have been thin in the secondary with Pat Chung and Steve Gregory sidelined. Both Martin and Rivera figure to see time on special teams.

He made some big plays for us at times, but overall, his pass defense wasn't helping the team in the least bit.

I think Moore has some slight injury and they are hoping to get him to the practice squad w/o giving him an injury pay out.

I also think both Chung and Gregory will be back and McCourty will be going back to CB against the Bills.

As for Carpenter, they probably realized he was a cement head....

    Well much as Bags predicted,

Cornerback Sterling Moore, waived on Wednesday, has been signed by the Patriots to their practice squad, according to a league source.

Kenny Vaccaro as a coverage FS (Tavon Wilson moving to SS) would sound nice from that report.

Jonathan Banks sounds like he could be a great nickel CB in a scheme that gets creative with pressure schemes.

If we somehow got them and resigned Talib, that seems like it could be a pretty good secondary. If Dowling could contribute at all, even better!

Those last two post aren't really news.... They would be better suited for the Draft discussion thread.
