    Good Recovery Shakes

I been doing the insanity for almost a month now, and it's been pretty difficult. I heard the recovery shake would help out a lot. Any suggestions.

You can take any types of protein shake. One of my friends takes the Vi-Shape Nutritional Shake. But personally I think it is better to make my own recovery shake without wasting money in buying.

I assume you mean protein shakes? and whey is probably the cheapest and one of the highest qualities of protein.

if you want to recover faster, add some creatine to your shake. but theirs really no really good way to get around recovering faster.

yes there are ways to recovering faster. Proper hydration and sufficient refueling are obviously a given.

yea their is ways. I was just saying that if you workout hard, your going to get sore. it's not like you can just take a shake and you'll magically not be sore the next day.

Pure Isolate protein, quickest absorption. Will hit your anabolic window. Also, Amino Acids help with recovery. I would recommend an Isolate protein that is loaded with Amino Acids as well.

    There is no anabolic window.

Amino acid supplements are useless unless training fasted.

Pure Isolate protein wont do anything different than whey concentrate, casein, soy, veggie or any other type of protein.

    GNC is a scam.

    Wrong all around.

Sorry not to be discouraging, but that is a terrible deal. That is the same as 1-2 pound of any other protein considering it takes 3 scoops per serving. Also other proteins only cost 50-70 for 5 pounds.

I started doing this sort of strength training 3 times a week on top of my body building and my strength has gone through the roof. I feel so much more explosive and powerful. I sprint with the prowler into 400lb tire flips into sledge hammer hits on the tire.
