Terrell owns Hall of Famer or not?

so i was just on espn nfl and i saw a poll question asking if to was a hall of famer or not, I without hesitation voted yes. I was shocked to see that only 53 percent of the votes from 70,000+ votes said yes. I think this is ridiculous. 1,078 receptions 15,000+ yds and 153 tds. At first i went back to see if it asked is he a first ballot hall of famer but it didn't. What do you guys think?

^just proof because a lot of people always ask for links. for the record i forget to add an e between owens. I know for some people its an enormous.

There is no Hall of Fame if TO isn't in it. One of the greatest receivers ever. All that other stuff means....0.

Definitely a HOFer. A lot of people though will focus too much on his off field antics but anyone that saw him play saw how dominant he was. All that 'first ballot' stuff is a bunch of BS. I mean Cris Carter isn't good enough to be in the HOF why? Because those sportswriters don't like him? People can say what they want about T.O but he belongs. His numbers and TDs are staggering.

Absolutely. A lot of d-bags get in, in every sport, so they can't hold him to a different standard.

Might have something to do with the fact that they didn't retire until the 2000's where as Swann was playing in the 70's and retired in the 80's....

Cris Carter finished his career 2nd in receptions, yards and TDs and, despite being trumped by a select few like Marvin Harrison and T.O. since then, is obviously still top 5 in these categories...

And he just got snubbed for the 5th year in a row...

I see Lynn Swann get bashed so much on this forum for being in the Hall of Fame, all people ever do is point to stats and then compare him to someone else, you people never, ever, ever discuss the fact that he had some of the biggest plays in some of the biggest games. If stats truly were te be all and end all then guys like Namath and Sayers do not belong in the Hall either.

Swann was called "Baryshnikov in Cleats", why? Because he always saves his best performance for the big show.

CCRider is a serious guy, so I think he meant every last word. And I think I see his point.
