The fact is you guys ****ed up. You guys are the equivalent of the NBA Mock Thunder GM's.

With Rodgers at the helm, you don't need elite WR's to have an elite passing game. If you one very good WR, and two mediocre WR's. Guess what? And a balanced defense, guess what? Your team would be considered elite.

Overloading your offense when you have Rodgers at QB was just silly and stupid.

It's not like you started with Alex Smith at QB where you need more talent out wide to make him look good.

For Christ sake you could have 3 mediocre WR's and your offense would still be amongst the best because of Rodgers. lol.
no what they did was ****in stupid. at least whooligan had a strategy, he just overdrafted like crazy on some spots. I dont mind the strategy because it was something new and not seen before, he just didnt draft properly at certain spots.

I'm sorry to say this and this is going to sound harsh, but if I had the top pick in ANY re-draft, I would be in it to win it and I'm not sure you are. It seems to me your goal is to build a gimmicky pass-heavy team with no running game or defense. And you wouldn't have had to trade Nelson for "some middle of the road DT" if you hadn't drafted him in the fifth. There were literally probably a dozen defensive players that would have made more sense for your team at that point and he was a reach at that spot.

The thing that confuses me the most is that you can STILL fix this problem to some extent. You could deal both Nelson AND Cruz/Wallace to upgrade on the defensive side and downgrade at WR and you would still have one of the better passing offenses. Also, you're starting a guy (Wimbley) at 4-3 OLB when he's playing 4-3 DE this season, which I still think is a huge mistake.

Look at Panda's team. He got Stafford, gave him mediocre WRs and his offense looks terrible.

We all know that if we drafted pure D to start and grabbed those same 2 WRs for Rodgers, everyone would say we ****ed up because we didnt give him anyone to throw to.

Either way it was fun, and Im glad we are all lifelong friends now.

The most recent position Wimbley has played in a regular season game is 4-3 OLB. He played it well too, arguably the most successful pass rushing 4-3 linebacker last year. You want to talk out of position? Talk about Levy at MLB. Thats ridiculous.

    Absolutely not.

Stafford isn't even in the same realm as Rodgers as a QB.

If you had Britt/Meachem/and let's say you had Nelson or Cruz and went defense with your 2nd/3rd rounder and let's go with Hali / Haden.

Your defense would be FAR MORE BALANCED and your offense would still be lethal !

I'd rather have an injured Shaun Rogers at DT than a healthy Levy at MLB.
You must have a bad understanding of your own team if you think Levy is going to be a camp casualty, or even that he isn't going to start for Detroit.

Anyways, I gotta go back to work. It was fun. I enjoy these little chats, except when Homestar & Saddler chime in. All they ever post is something mean or negative.

But the problem with that is that 4-3 LBs don't usually rush the passer unless it's a blitzing situation. Oakland was practically using him like more of a 3-4 OLB than a 4-3 OLB at times, which makes sense given that they have a lot of 3-4 personnel on the team.

I posted that the #1 pick guarantees you a playoff spot. And it does. I suppose you can't handle the truth that your team was poorly built, given that you were guaranteed a playoff spot from the day the draft order was determined.
