Why dont we sit Brown and play Wes he me break out and be a really good trade bait.
Gortat has been having some strong performances against some good teams like LA and Boston when we played there. I think we might be able to get a pretty good deal for him. On a side note everybody talks about the impact Hunter's had on Beas but another player who might benefit greatly specially on the defensive en is Goran Dragic. He already is a decent defender but having a former PG, who was a defensive specialist, as a mentor/coach could do wonders for him.
QB's worst nightmare
There some rumbling out there that were pursuing Josh smith!!!
Somthing like Gortat, Brown or Dudley and Johnson for Josh smith.
Gortat, Brown, and Johnson would be really great. I hope no picks are involved.
Resign Smith
Sign Howard
Dragic/Telfair/Marshall
Shabazz/Dudley
Beasley/Tucker
Smith/Scola/Morris
Howard/Frye
I think we'd also try to move some of those PFs

Latest Mock Draft from Bleacher Report:
Phoenix needs to inject some life into an uninspiring lineup of blah.
Cue Anthony Bennett.
He's an explosive athlete who can fly down the court using his legs or his wings. Bennett possesses one of the higher ceilings in the draft class because of his offensive versatility—he's strong enough to play the 4 and quick enough to play the 3.As a perimeter threat, Bennett is knocking down threes at a 37.7 percent clip and beating defenders off the bounce with a deceivingly quick first step. Down low, he's a physical presence, averaging 8.6 boards and throwing down routine poster dunks.
One of the fastest risers in the 2013 draft class, Bennett is one of the few prospects to offer star power.*5*of 32*

About Howard - After the LA game, Gortat said that Howard isn't the player anymore that he used to go up against in Orlando and has played against since coming to Phoenix. Also, Howard is getting injured more and more often. After not giving Amare a max deal because of the risk of injuries, I highly doubt our front office would give one to Howard. And that's what it would take to land him.
In the end I would stick with Gortat - cheaper, solid, not injury-prone, and younger in basketball-age (played limited minutes in his first 4 years in the league).
Anthony Bennett - Even though I think he is a player with great potential, he also plays a position where we already have Scola, Morris, Frye, Beasley, Dudley, and Johnson. If Frye is moved back to C and Scola and Johnson leave after this season, we still have 3 players for PF and SF. And Tucker can also play SF. And if it's true that the FO is interested in Josh Smith, there'll be no minutes left. IMO, what we really need is a high-scoring SG and a back-up center (which could be Frye). But I have to admit that a frontcourt of
Gortat / Frye
Bennett / Morris
Beasley / Dudley
does sound very intriguing.

The only reason we bring up D12 is because of the J-smoove rumor. Obviously if we trade for him Gortat ends up in ATL which leaves a huge hole in our C position. It is clear that Smith and Howard are best friends so it makes sense to make a run at him and in the process create what could be the best defensice front court in the NBA.
QB's worst nightmare
Yes every single fan and front office would do backflips if they can form the best defensive frontcourt in the league. If they can put us in contention, which they automatically do, we jump on it. Chance to make a championship run>>>>>>>>> Their attitudes.
QB's worst nightmare
If they were a package deal, it's worth the chance. If Howard chose to come to Phoenix, then it would be because he did his research and felt it was the right place to be on and off the court.
If people are going to talk about wanting to compete each night, then they should all be on board with the idea.
Even without a good pick this year, Dragic, Brown, tucker, Smith, Howard is a very talented defensive starting 5. Maybe it's not championship worthy just yet but that's a great start. We'd also still have pieces to trade if necessary in Dudley, Morris, picks.
Jared Sullinger will miss the rest of the season with a back injury, per Woj.
Guess it was a good thing our trade ideas didn't happen.
