Experiences with Probation & Drug Testing

Don't be an idiot, just don't smoke.
If you fail your drug test, it's a breach and you'll probably go back to jail.
Its happened to so many of my buddies, and trust me, you feel like a moron going back to prison for the next few months.
I've also had buddies go in for a test, then get called back a few days later for another one. Your PO calls you and you have to go in.

Probation is a period where they wanna see if you can follow the rules, and if you can, then you're off the hook. Something is wrong with you if you have a small window of time to prove yourself, and they say "all we want is for you to not smoke weed, so don't do it, because we're gonna test you" and you go ahead and smoke weed.

If you read a thread on PSD about some NFL player getting caught smoking weed while he was on probation you'd rip him apart for his stupidity, don't be that idiot.

To the OP, I think it's pretty clear what you have to do.

Don't smoke for 6 months.

Just smoke lightly and give yourself at LEAST 3 weeks to get clean. However they drop you randomly so you may go months before they decide to test you so don't ever ever ever ever ever ever ever assume that you won't have to drop some day.

If you do drop dirty then you have to see a judge to determine your outcome which depending on what you are on probation for could mean serving.

Word to the wise I just wouldn't smoke if you don't want to risk a bigger sentence or possible jail time.

First off, Im 16 and got arrested for possession of alcohol. No prior criminal history and I live in a suburban white-collar town, and have a steady family life. Essentially they factor in these things if I violate my probation, I probably wont end up going to jail..ha

Secondly, I used to ****ing love pot. In the winter, I used to smoke every day, but now I smoke just on occasion. Like two-three times a month at most. I definitely dont need to smoke. However, many of my friends do, and its pretty tempting. The fact that I am not allowed to only makes me want to smoke more..lol, Anyways I just wanted to get a feel for things, and get some second opinions on it. I am committed to not smoking until January.

I was on proba for 2 years it ended up being 4 years+ 30 days in jail + 60 days house arrest due to violating twice.They also tried to give me a 9 month mandatory for being involved in a fight at school.

Possession of alcohol leads to probation? Cops show up at underage house parties all the time...I dont think their are such consequences.
