Toronto trades: Jose Calderon + Linas Kleiza
Toronto gets: Loul Deng + Steve Blake

Lakers trades: Steve Blake + Pau Gasol
Lakers gets: Jose Calderon + C. Boozer

Chicago trades: Loul Deng + C. Boozer
Chicago gets: Pau Gasol + Linas Kleiza

We do this to get good SF that fits us with back up PG.
Lakers do this to get good PG with expiring and good PF
Chicago do this to get all star PF and cheaper SF

Very fair trade for all parties. I like this trade

really? I don't get it from the Bulls standpoint. Boozer is probably playing at the same level as Gasol and Deng is a very valuable player.

ya that trade doesn't accomplish what the lakers want either.

but hopefully we can use his expiring, if not at least we unloaded Novak's deal...

if i remember correctly, chicago was trying to trade Deng for expiring because they want to have financial flexibility. I am not sure if they still want that though.
Not to mention, Gasol has one year less on contract than Boozer if Chicago is still looking for a cap flexibility.

I disagree that Boozer is same level as Gasol although their stats are similar for this season.
Gasol is not playing as what he is capable of.

I have never seen that the Bulls were willing to trade Deng just for an expiring. The trade that was suggested wasn't even for an expiring. It was a horrible deal for them. I can post it in the "Trade Ideas" forum and see what others think.

i'm sure they'd "like" calderon but what they want specifically is for Gasol to turn into an Andrea Bargnani/Ryan Anderson type player. swapping Gasol for Boozer doesn't solve their issue.

I have heard a few times they may eventually amnesty Boozer , for a team that does not go over the cap they may have to do something .

I wish they were looking for an andrea bargnani type player. Because if so we have just the man for them. Maybe we can get some primo pasta and sauce for him. The best part of seeing andrea go would be not having to see that commercial ever again.

i never heard that they would want barg/anderson type player.
That's what we've been wishing for.

IMO Boozer + Calderon >> Barg + Calderon or Gasol + Blake.

well they are running Pau out of town because he isn't that type of player.

i actually agree that this seems pretty fair

boozer needs a change of scenery and is a guy who can space the floor for dwight

gasol on chicago would be pretty deadly

i really do not want deng though

I would absolutely love the Gasol for Jose + Andrea idea that has floated around the forums for the past couple months...

While I respect the talent of Bargnani and the longevity of Calderon, it is time to move on. A veteran all-star like Gasol to anchor the paint would be very beneficial for Val and Davis IMO. If they develop, we always have the option of flipping Gasol or letting him expire for major cap relief.

Here's hoping the Lakers get desperate. I'd also be very curious how Bargnani and Calderon respond to D'Antoni's system as well as the pressure to win in LA. Could be good for them.

I'm 100% with you on this, in my opinion it's a perfect move for both clubs. I'm wondering if the injury to Blake might be the final push for something like this to happen.
